Reports indicate a surge of manly activity of late. Evidence of this phenomenon can be seen in the following instances:

1) The publication of the “Alphabet of Manliness”. C’mon, you know you want one…

2) Land Rover SUV vs. Mining Truck…guess which one wins! Large things crushing small things is decidedly manly.

3) Finally, we have evidence that certain walruses are more manly than you are. Doing crunches to the theme from “Rocky”? Yep, you guessed it: manly.

Somehow I think that if this were in America, he’d get in trouble for judicial activism? but either way, embedding a secret code in a court ruling about a book on secret codes is kinda funny. And I like the Admiral Fisher reference.

So, I doubt many of you have read either of Frank Miller’s Batman comics, but I just had to bring this up. His two previous books haven’t exactly been freindly with “the man”, so I am curious about this new comic. I mean, fighting Al Qaida isn’t neccessarily pandering to shrub and his cronies, but it seems a little too close for me.

In my latest act of geekdom, I have downloaded a number of lessons from A Free Course in Quenya so that I can take a crack at learning the fictional Elvish language. Being somewhat of a dabbler in language, it should be fun. My biggest geeky secret is that I love grammar.

(even geekier, the title of the post is a play on a Babylon 5 episode title. might as well go all out.)

as long as there are nerds there will be roleplaying. somehow, that simple reminder just makes me smile and believe that the world will be okay. Chris may laugh, but gamers are honestly some of the nicer people I know. sometimes smelly and in need of a shower, and sometimes kinda awkward, but usually good people nonetheless.
