Orange MacBook Air
Posted by Michael.
I saw this in a facebook sidebar ad, check it out:

I’m pretty sure that (a) I’m not going to jump through the dubious hoops at chooseyourcolor.com and (b) that it’s a spray-on recolorized Mac, not one with Orange anodization, but still pretty fun given that K still has an Orange clamshell iBook running around.

Rather unrelatedly, I realized today that I have 230 facebook friends. wow! I had no clue the number was that high. I mean, I’m not really that much of a facebook whore, I don’t go out looking for lots and lots of friends, etc, and if you’d asked me to guess I think I would have said about 80. But then, I was signed up (appropriate use of passive voice in this case) about a week after Dartmouth was added to the list and so I’ve had a while to accrue friends.
(No offense to anybody out there who really is my friend, or who is but not on facebook. These things happen.)

So, I have seen places that will anodize the computer a color for you. I just found http://alumamax.com/ with a quick search. I think though that just a repaint with some high quality automotive paint might be just as good though.
Speaking of facebook friends, I have 264. I’ve been thinking about doing a little bit of pruning though. There are a lot of people on the list who I only “know” because they grew up in Alaska. Frankly, I don’t know that I need so many pseudo connections with girls 15 years younger than I am. (See my note on Qun’s post earlier.)

Oh, it looks like chooseyourcolor.com is a scam to sign you up for some pyramid scheme. The picture they’re using is from http://www.colorwarepc.com which does paint jobs. Looks like it’s only $499 for my laptop.
