Finally, my new MBP arrived yesterday. The appearance is not that different, even comparing with my 3.5 years old Powerbook. I love the easy access to the ram (I had some troubles with the tiny screws on my PB) and hope they will do the same thing to the hard drive in the future. I also very much like the MagSafe connector, Michael should have seen what I did to the power connector of my PB….. One annoying thing though, is the noise from the display. It’s not really loud, but in a quiet room it’s certainly there. The other thing is the default color profile for the display is very bad, and the color looks washed out. So a calibration is absolutely necessary. I did manual calibration before but I don’t think my eyes are that good. So this time I just found some custom calibrations for MBP from the internet and they seem to work much better. Anyway, I’m happy it came just in time, and so far so good:)
