I’m Cured!

Scientists have finally isolated a gene (LRRTM1) that appears to increase the odds of being left-handed by inverting the functions of each side of the brain – one side controlling speech and language and the other governing emotion/creativity/etc.

So, all I need is a bit dose of  stem cells, a bit of gene therapy, and I could finally be normal!

    It should be noted that I now way intend to make light of schizophrenia. (There is a correlation between brain asymmetry and schizophrenia and thus the “cure” would apply to this nasty disorder, not left-handedness.)

    I’m content to kick butt the way I am, even if statistically I’ll die 7 years sooner (lefty+male+something else I forget).

    It’s late, my brain hurts, my latest sample was kaput, and I still have to finish preparing a linear algebra review session for tomorrow.
