Yeah, so I like gaming of all sorts, especially the mild escapism appeal of a good RPG, but I'm thinking this dude went a bit far in his desire to be a knight in shining armor. Cavalry sword + misguided would-be hero + loud porno from upstairs = comically weird arrest report.
In other fantsy-world-come-true news, I think Scott summed up the reporting style used to cover the giant squid story best when he asked, "Is this biology taking a cue from D&D taxonomy or the other way around?" 🙂 The relevant passage is this: "Colossal squid are found in Antarctic waters and are not related to giant squid found round the coast of New Zealand. Giant squid grow up to 39 feet long, but are not as heavy as colossal squid." The relevant gaming reference is here (scroll down to "BIG AND LITTLE CREATURES IN COMBAT").
