Okay, here’s the deal: the host of Virgin Radio’s evening show was admiring the size of the handicapped stall in the radio station’s bathroom, and decided that it would be cool to have a concert in there and see how many people fit.  Concurrently, he’s a big fan of a Swedish band called I’m From Barcelona which boasts over 20 members.

Anyway, here is the video of the event, and if you feel like listening to the whole thing you should check out the Januray 24th Geoff Show podcast, and skip ahead to the 46 minute mark.  If you do go ahead and download the podcast, then you should also check out an entertaining round of Drunk vs Stoned, which starts at the 1:24:35 mark.  Good times.

that’s right folks.  my national day of pride.

NY Times had a nice little piece on the rise of brown ale. Props were given to #1 Avery’s Ellie’s Brown Ale (woot woot, Boulder represent!), and #3 Long Trail’s Double Bag Ale (VT in the house!). I am not a big fan of Newcastle (most common brown ale around), but Double Bag is quite delicious … especially considering the 7.2% ABV…

if one day, as a senior in high school, your future could not look brighter. Recruiting letters from collegiate programs looking for schollar athletes pouring in, graduation around the corner. One night of partying and somewhat questionable decision making, that would be par for the course for most teens in this country, can send you to jail in Georgia… for 10 years.

I can’t help it, I’ve been watching the audition episodes.  I love them more than anything right now.  It’s just so refreshing to see people crazier than I am.  New York City is proving especially batty.  I just watched this girl completely spaz out, because they turned her away, when she ADMITTED she wasn’t a singer and that her friends all told her she was tone deaf.  Anyway, then she goes off out in the waiting area with all the other people, shouting how the judges went out drinking the night before (it’s the second day of auditions in NYC) until 3am, and how “rude” it was of them.  Having seen the first day of auditions, though, I can’t blame them at all for it.

U.S. military + non-lethal ray guns = awesome!
