Jet vs. Hail

These pictures are making the blog rounds, with a different story on each blog. The key facts though: 727, lots of hail, and not a fun place to be.

Check out the pictures, they’re pretty amazing.

  1. Michael Says:

Random travel story: in PHL, on our way out West for Christmas, they bumped/asked for 15 volunteers to take the next-day’s flight on account of high winds in PDX. After a little grumbling the got things sorted out and we boarded and took off.

    1. That was the comfiest/emptiest cross-country flight I’ve ever been on. I don’t think the plane was more than half-ful, which meant that it wasn’t close to full even with those 15 bump-ees.

    2. Which implies that they were really worried about the winds in Portland, yet when we landed it was almost a dead calm, and K’s parents said there hadn’t been a whole lot of wind all day. To me, this implies big conspiracy… ideas?
