I never really went to any of the meet and greets when I was there, but I’m feeling oddly sad that I can’t go now.
I have good story too that really needs guy-gym-time to explain. I’ll just put it here because it probably shouldn’t go on the main blog page. So… there was this girl on my flight out of Aspen. [Keep in mind that I never actually talked to her or anything, this is purely a visual story.] Anyway, she just had to be a real fashion model and she had her look down pat. 5′8″, maybe more, 105 lbs, probably less. Blonde hair in a nice braid down her back. Pretty. Black leggings tucked into tall, carmel-colored, leather boots. Black long-sleeved t-shirt covered with a cashmere sweater. Oh, and a newsboy cap. She gets additional points too for getting a call and then writing down a note in her address book with a Mont Blanc pen. Negative points for the very small dog that she was carrying in her lap that ended up shedding all over her. She was headed to Paris, I’m not sure if it was to meet up with her billionaire daddy or to shoot something for Vogue.
Yes, this is a little bit extreme of a description. The problem is that there was a thunderstorm over the Denver airport which resulted in our little Dash-8 spending a lot of time circling and then a quick trip to Colorado Springs to refuel and then a quick trip to Denver. What should have been a 32 minute flight ended up taking more like 2.5 hours. And I got to spend it sitting next to a complete nerd from my summer school. Would have been a lot more fun to sit next to the model/rich girl.
ok, sexist/objectifying mode done.
