Back in H-town
Monday, August 14th, 2006Nothing big to report from last week, spent it at my aunt’s house, replacing the roof and installing the cabinetry/drawers in my cousin’s house, plus a couple days of camping (low in the 30’s, glad I have a good sleepingbag).
As I have mentioned to some (at lunch), I got back last night just in time to witness the end of a masterpiece by Gred Maddux. When I switched on, it was in the 7th inning, and the dude was up to all of 57 pitches (only 15 balls)! Talk about mastery. His fastball never hit 90, but he’s one of the greatest of all time in my book.
68 pitches, 8 innings, no walks, 2 hits in the first inning and then 22 straight retired after that. wow.
