Back in Town
Posted by Holly.
Well, my parents drove up yesterday and today, we packed up the two cars… and I still have a bunch of crap left. That I can’t trash or sell off. So it looks like, after riding home with my parents tomorrow, getting my new car, making a “side” trip to Pittsburgh Monday to see a friend from college who’s visiting relatives (she lives in Montana), I’ll be driving back up here on Tuesday, staying the night, and leaving Wednesday morning. I have too much crap.

See, you shoulda gotten a truck.
(that’s not a serious comment, it’s just that I like trucks.)
But yeah, the problem with not moving after every academic term/year is that you have more time to build up more junk. I’m not looking forward to my next move. K would just say that it’s a reminder to get rid of a lot of crap, but I’ll resist.

Haha, no crap. Take for example all the shit I still have in the trunk of my car.

i need to get rid of some shoes and clothes before i move again. jesus. just took the car out for my first drive. and the alignment’s bad. at least, it better freaking be the alignment this time. the steering wheel shakes at 50+mph. and there’s no owner’s manual! there’s a little red light that’s on on the dash, but without the manual, we can’t figure out what it means.

turns out, after downloading the online manual, that the red light just means the security system is armed. i decided to wait a day and drive back to VT tomorrow instead of today. the dealership we got the car from is going to get a manual and send it to us. i’ve an appt for the car for the alignment and the backseat (it doesn’t latch back into place after you fold it down) friday morning, which will hopefully be early enough that i make it down to my friend emily’s cabin, which we’re going to for the weekend. so much driving this week! made it out to pittsburgh and back yesterday. pitt has a really cool skyline. i have to investigate its graduate programs to see if anyone does astro.
