Where is the ball? lol

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

A photograph of a football throw-in with the ball removed is shown below – all you have to do is make your informed calculations and guess the location of the ball.

I tried several times. But it seems I’m just too dumb. This site even provides a paper about “some new research on the football throw-in”.

Tractors!

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006  impressed

You gotta love ‘em!

I shouldn’t have to explain why this website is awesome.

Not only does it serve as a great source of information on old-school John Deere machines, but it also provides a handy-dandy definition of a “Johnny Popper” or “Poppin Johnny”, depending on which school of thought holds sway in your farming universe.

Caveat emptor: there’s mildly annoying music playing on the page when it loads. [shudder] I think it might even be MIDI…[\shudder]

Enjoy! :)

Another post on behalf of Becky: Free Ice Cream!

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

Well, it’s not B&J, but still free is free: you all got this, but I’m including the email from Jimmy Wright anyway.

Dear Friends,

Susan Wright and I would like to invite you — students, faculty, and employees — to an ice cream social on the Green tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon at 3 p.m. to celebrate the arrival (we hope!) of spring.

We are delighted that Barbary Coast will provide a festive touch with their music.

I hope that you can join us.

Sign of the Apocalypse

well, not quite, but still, David Hasselhoff as Simon Cowell scares me. Should appeal to the German audience, at least.

Oh yeah, and it will be hosted by Regis Philbin.

Rule # 2387

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

Inspired by some of the speakers this morning, I’ve come up with a new one (or maybe a corrolary to rule #88?) which states:

“Laser pointers are like spandex – they’re a privilege, not a right.” Honestly, have some self-control, people!

Crazy British Stuff…

“‘Bout that time, eh?”

“Right-o. Let’s get on with it, then.”

“Cheers. Put the backs into it, lads. We’ll have this piano up the mountain in no time.”
