Hump Day Linkblog Round-Up

Wednesday, March 29th, 2006  working

It’s about that time: tired enough of messin’ with proposal reading and writing to warrant some non-productive link-blogging.

First, we have misinterpreting Justice Scalia’s gesticulations.

Also, the “iPod earbuds causing deafness” hubbub has reached its logical end.

Even though we have yet to see the fallout of all the Jack Abramoff Congressional lobbying scandal mess, at least our boy got his day in court on some prior fraud charges, netting him a sweet 70 months in the white-collar big house.

Attention all baseball fans! More injury woes for the hapless Cubbies.

Am I the only one shocked by this case of the Afghan Christian convert who had to flee to Italy to avoid the death penalty for abandoning Islam? Didn’t we bomb the hell out of that place, dump lots of money there, and still maintain a military presence there in order to get rid of the governing system that promoted this sort of theocratic nightmare?

Back to work, I reckon.

Flying Jumbo Jumbo Jets

So we’re one touch closer to flying on a A380 since they just completed the evacuation tests.

The great thing is in the fine print. One person actually broke her leg in the drill. Sounds like a real panic evacuation, even for practice.
