Is there anything pre-existing (or freeware) on the Mac that allows one to take an mp3 and clip out a sample of it? i’ve finally hit on using songs as the sound to indicate when certain people come online in ichat, but i really don’t want the whole song to play. the available alert sounds though are lame, so i’d like to use parts of my music for it.

Kids Build Soybean-Fueled Car

This is a pretty cool story, but that’s not the reason for the post. Look at the kids’ names. Is one of them really named Cheeseborough?

It makes me think of the urban legend that Tim recounted the other day… the kid named “Shithead” but pronounced is “Shaheed”.
