good things come in threes?

Friday, February 10th, 2006

So, now that I have a couple minutes between lab-time and prospie lunch, I can catch up on my posting.

two thoughts:
(1) This morning I heard an ad on ESPN radio with Doug Flutie (who created Flutie Flakes, as a fund-raiser for Autism, which his son had) selling Wheaties. They’re now out of production so I guess it’s okay, just kinda…jarring.

(2) the new mnf crew, including joe theisman. thank god it isn’t him with paul mcguire and mike patrick, but sheesh, no good. i like the selection of tony k, but only if he’s with other good peeps. not joe.
I’m out of time, but this will not be neglected. we demand decency! seriously people, these guys make John Madden (a la superbowl) look like a genius.

Great Ideas (1)

The woman who thought this up is very smart. And no Chris/Nathaniel/Nick/John, I didn’t mean that. :) It makes a lot of sense to practice maneuvering a crowded room in stilettos, don’t you think?

15 minutes of fame

Friday, February 10th, 2006

for those interested, we’ve managed to get a celebrity to grace us with their presence: on 17th February there will be a wine & cheese reception and book signing with Jorge Cham (PHD comics). Since this is a direct result of my asking GSC to do this/Tim’s email it would be cool if there was significant attendance.
