outclassing Hillary Clinton

as being discussed over lunch… this speech is impressive. Tim, I think you’ll like it if you haven’t seen it already. A nice discussion on the nature of executive power and respect for the Law.

if the above link doesn’t work, here’s the direct link. (Quicktime).

CHARLEMAGNE LIVES!!!! just on a whim, i pulled out the laptop and figured, what the hell, i’ll see if he boots. imagine the shock and amazement when i saw the little apple come up on screen!! i’ve backed up all my data and i’m working on backing up my pictures. OH MY GOD!

(i suppose my mood is more dominated by “elated”, but “relieved” is the only one available that aslo applies)

creative punishment

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

Towards the end of a week# loss (41-0 I think) to the Steelers, a Browns fan ran out on the field as a “protest”. As if being bodyslammed by LB James Harrison wasn’t punishment enough, he has now been sentenced to three days in jail. Not so bad you say, since the max penalty is 30 days and a big fine? Well, the judge explicitly said that the three days must be served over the weekend of 3rd-6th February… that’s right sportsfans, Super Bowl Weekend. And he’s not allowed a TV or radio.

(although, given the options of a Broncos/Panthers/Seahawks/Steelers matchup, maybe he got off lucky?)
