A whole bunch of things

Friday, January 6th, 2006

Since I haven’t been posting lately.

1) The took the penis away from the snowman at Molly’s.
2) Thank you to Michael and Leslie for getting my lunch for me yesterday.
3) 3 am in the department is actually a pretty good time. I just wish that I didn’t see it four nights in a row.
4) Make sure to check the tire pressure in your car. It’s important and even people in the know (like tire guys) sometime blow your tires up with 10 psi too much pressure. Don’t use the number on the side of the tire, the right number is either in the glovebox, on the gas flap, or on the side of the passenger door.
5) With reference to #3, plan ahead so you don’t have to work insane hours at the last minute.
6) When you’re observing, make sure your pointing is good.

Ok, I’m going to be semi-incomunicado for a while, I’ll catch up from DC on Monday when I get good internet access.

I’m cool too!

Since Tim did an airport post a while ago, I feel like I should do one too… even if it’s just saying “me too”.

I’ll keep my really cool travel post for later. It’ll be a first.

RIP, Lou Rawls

Finally succumbing to lung/brain cancer at 72, the Chicago boy’s trademark was his smooth, four-octave voice — the ’silkiest chops in the singing game,’ Frank Sinatra once said. The dude really did a slick sound, growing up singing in his church choir and eventually ranging through gospel, jazz, blues, soul, pop, and even commercials. No matter what he did, he made it sound good.

A longtime community activist, Rawls played a major role in United Negro College Fund telethons in the 1980s that raised more than $200 million. In the ’60s he often visited schools, playgrounds and community centers.

Bill O’Reilly: PWNED!

Although he ain’t what he used to be, and I’m primarily a Conan O’Brien fan, sometimes you just gotta love Letterman.
