Is it hard to change a headlight? I’ve got one that’s out, and I’d rather not take it to the shop AGAIN just for a headlight.

While waiting at the light on main and wheelock, i started thinking, i wonder if it would be more efficient at “rush hours” to make north main and, i think it’s college street, two-way, since most traffic from campus is funneled out north main. if we had more options, you wouldn’t get the huge backup on north main. then i started trying to break it down into pieces of information that could be used to model it. and became almost gleeful at the idea of trying to write a program for it.

I know that Leslie has to be sad.

But anyway, this post was prompted by Leslie’s questions about the proper way to serve absinthe. I remembered some of it, since a good buddy of mine from undergrad was quite the cultural elite/snob (and a great conversationalist – who knew that cheap Safeway wine, cheese and crackers could keep us entertained for hours?) Anyway, in 1988 the new EU food regulations neglected to mention absinthe, and thus when they superseded national laws, the drink was effectively re-legalized – so he managed to sample a few of the new offerings.

Point is, you should check out this Wired story on the revival of the green fairy.
