This whole rain thing is getting really depressing. As if I didn’t have enough trouble getting sunlight before. I miss the sun. And I’m really not liking the “holy shit, it’s dark already?!” feeling every day around 7ish. I’d forgotten how dark winter is. I’m trying not to think about how cold it will get. At least I get to go shopping for a set of boots (or heavy duty socks) for Mira.
Oh, and I would suggest a “weather” category, but, in NH, bitching and weather are synonymous, eh?

I second the motion for a “weather” category; I was always kind of confused about which label I should stick on my hurricane posts.
As for the rain, well, our recent bout of it has constituted a significant amount, even by my standards. What’s really surprising to me is how much flooding this amount of rain can cause up here, given the amplification by the local geography/topography. Twenty-odd inches is a fair amount, anywhere in the U.S., but at least it just runs out to the Gulf back home, and the flat land is well-suited to accomodating massive amounts of rainfall.
