NCAA does not have monopoly on stupidity?

Posted by Michael.

On a dare from Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny, an unidentified Marlins batboy tried to drink a gallon of milk in under an hour without throwing up.

Penny offered the batboy $500 if he could drink a gallon of milk in less than an hour before Sunday’s game without throwing up. Penny told the paper the boy drank the milk and didn’t throw up, but didn’t finish the gallon in the allotted time frame to win the dare

Why do we care, you ask? Well, the Marlins organization has suspended him for 6 games for accepting the dare. Said Penny, who used to pitch for Florida, “”It’s kind of ridiculous that you get a 10-game suspension for steroids and a six-game suspension for milk… It didn’t affect the way he worked, the way he did his job.”

Of course they don’t have a monopoly on stupidity. Stupidity is the nation’s fastest spreading epidemic, it seems.
