The holy triumvirate of tools:

1) If it moves and it shouldn’t — use duck tape
2) If it should move and it doesn’t — use WD-40

Today’s Political Post

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005

Pat Roberston suggested that “American operatives” should assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Now, does that seem like the sort of thing that you want your minister suggesting? It just doesn’t seem really Christian to me.

Anyway, this is my message to President Chavez, “Pat Robertson started it, so I suggest you have him assassinated.” He’s a TV minister, it shouldn’t be too hard to take him out and frankly the country will be better for it.

Of course, the American public will be upset. However, the American public also thought there was a connection betwen al-Qaida and Saddam Hussein and, for that matter, still thinks that Iraq has WMD. President Chavez, you should know that the American public also has a very short attention span. Give them a week and they won’t even remember who Pat Robertson was.

Two things from yesterday

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005

One. As I was getting in my car I thought I heard geese, but after standing in the pit for a fewminutes 50-60 young women went jogging around the medical school. And they still sounded like geese.

Two. Did everyone see the rainbow? It was pretty amazing: stretching fully from the horizon on one side to the horizon on the other side without a break at times; then turning into a double rainbow; and then showing the brightest colors I’ve ever seen until the sun set and it faded away.
