5. Dude’s stage name is “Heavy D”; ya gotta respect that.

4. Big man likes to wear shiny suits in bold colors.

3. His crew was “The Boyz”, and to the best of my recollection, they only job was doing some majorly fly-ass backup dancin’ in Heavy D videos and concerts.

2. Speaking of dancing, Heavy D had all the moves his own self. No kidding: big man can seriously cut the rug.

And finally…

1. The hook on one of his bigger hits repeatedly featured the line “The Overweight Lover, Heavy D”; a truly fitting epithet.

Not so fantastic.

And who did the casting? “Mr. Fantastic” really wasn’t fantastic at all.

They played a preview for “Into the Blue” before the movie and Jessica Alba was shown better in that than in the whole movie.

Ugg.

However, they did play a preview for “The Tranporter 2″ and I’m definitely going to see that.
