Ok, so I have been looking for an apartment. And I have looked at more apartments than I can recall and seen all kinds, shapes, sizes, and conditions (with lots of help from David). The one I am in now sucks up all my money and leaves me living paycheck to paycheck. The apartment I found is 120 dollars a week with everything (heat, water, electricity, cable, internet, trash, phone) included. And I would not have to mow anymore, or shovel snow, and i would get a garage parking spot so I would not have to scrape my car off on icy wintery mornings. It’s in Wilder, so it’s just a little farther than where I am now, but still closer than Walmart. But it’s like what Holly is doing now: I would be living with the landlord and would just be renting the room (two rooms when he is finished re-doing the floors in the second room). I would have my own bathroom, but I would have to share the kitchen/living room area. It’s furnished, so either his furniture or mine would have to be stored (but he has storage above the garage all ready to be used). And laundry is available. I would save about 300 dollars a month.
But I really like having my own space. So I would have to give that up. The landlord travels a lot, but still….
Oh, and he has three cats. But I love cats. I would pet them and hope they slept on the foot of my bed so I could pet them if I woke up at night.
So it all comes down to: how much is my privacy worth??
I have no idea what to do. I have two days to decide. If I want to move at the begining of August, I have to give my current landlord 30 days’ notice. The new landlord is going to hold it for me and not show it to anyone else until I decide. So I have to decide by the 30th so I could overnight my letter telling him I am moving if I decide to move.
What do I do?
I flipped a coin. It said to move.
