Does mean I can “forget” to die, too?

Sunday, March 27th, 2005

But seriously, this year I forgot about taxes. Probably because the winter term was so busy, but for some reason I really wasn’t paying attention. Anyway, just did them in oh, 20 minutes. Probably could have gotten a couple more bucks back, but I didn’t feel like it?

The real point to this post is to tell any other slackers out there that if you go through the IRS website, you can e-file for free with a bunch of different tax preparers (they try to sell you extra services or state filing, but the federal filing is free.) I used H&R Block, and it was pretty smooth, they let you throw in student loan, IRA, deduction info, etc.

speaking of Alex and Marissa

I guess since this post kinda refers to the O.C. it has to be filed under “movies” as well? :) anyway, in case people hadn’t seen this one, I thought it was kinda funny.

Wiki plugin suggestions

Sunday, March 27th, 2005

Can you tell I’m tired of writing? so, taking a break = looking at the wordpress plugin list…

Sp@m: NoFollow? maybe useful, maybe unnecessary, but I’ll at least mention it. Although, I like this guy’s solution, too.
and/or
Restriction: User Comments, “Only allow commenting on your blog from registered and logged in users.” this might be good, except the link is broken so it may not be worth the time to get that sorted out.

Easter Cookies

Sunday, March 27th, 2005

Kirsten and I did our usual baking this weekend. There was only one slight problem…

We didn’t really realize that the recipe make like 5 dozen cookies.

Anyway, plan on eating a lot of cookies on Monday.

Easter surprise

Sunday, March 27th, 2005

the easter bunny seems to have left me a dog. my landlord’s business partner is staying here while my landlord’s away, and when she got up this morning, there was a dog sitting on our porch. nobody’s reported her missing yet, and she had no tags. she seems to be getting along very well with Grits and Maebelle, my landlord’s dog, and his business partner’s dog. we’ll see what happens.
