i was helping dan with public observing, since this was his first night. i was able to find the comet manually not once, but twice! go me!

congratulations, well done. i saw people wandering about up there, but wasn’t quite sure if observing was actually happening. i guess it’s been colder other times and it’s still gone down… like a certain birthday party of brian’s. *grin*

I didn’t really realize that there was a visible comet at the moment. How bright is it? naked eye?

it’s supposed to be magnitude 4 or 5, but i was having trouble seeing it. still not sure i was actually looking at it with my eye and not just getting lucky with the finder and the map
and michael, i don’t get the reference?
